<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst-coated material for the cleaning of the atmosphere which increasingly improves NO<SB POS="POST">X</SB>-treating capability. <P>SOLUTION: Powdered hydrophobic synthetic zeolite of 2-20 wt.% is added to a conventional photocatalyst-coated material for the cleaning of the atmosphere, which includes, as main constituents, cement, a filler and a photocatalyst (TiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>: titanium dioxide) and is mixed with water for its application, to gain a novel photocatalyst-coated material for the cleaning of the atmosphere. The novel photocatalyst-coated material for the cleaning of the atmosphere is expected to be widely used not to mention pavement. For example, the material concerned can be mixed with water and then applied to the wall surface of a construction to form a wall surface which cleans the atmosphere. In this case, the construction widely includes concrete walls, buildings such as schools and hospitals, civil engineering constructions, and sound-insulating road walls. In particular, the material concerned is suitable since its NO<SB POS="POST">x</SB>-treating capability becomes high when the area of a wall surface is large. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
