<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballot paper sorter capable of sorting ballot papers at enhanced speed by reducing the frequency of stopping transportation of the ballot papers in sorting. <P>SOLUTION: A ballot paper sorter 1 for sorting ballot papers comprises a plurality of stackers 101 to 121 for stacking the sorted ballot papers, a first transporting mechanism 4a and a second transporting mechanism 4b for sorting and transporting the ballot papers to the stackers 101 to 121, and an indicator lamps 201 equipped on the stackers 101 to 121 and providing information on the quantity of the ballot papers stacked in the stackers 101 to 121. The indicator lamp 201 can provide a flashing red light which indicates that the quantity of the ballot papers stacked in the stackers 101 to 121 is a first prescribed stacking quantity which is the upper limit of the stacking quantity of the ballot papers in the stackers 101 to 121 and a flashing orange light which indicates that the quantity of the ballot papers is a second prescribed stacking quantity set to be less than the first prescribed stacking quantity, or greater. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
