PURPOSE: A water purifying apparatus is provided to improve the convenience and the safety of the apparatus by preventing short-circuit-related problems in case of the leakage of water. CONSTITUTION: A water purifying apparatus includes a main body, a water taking button(200), and a water taking part. The main body stores water or ices. Selection is implemented to take water or ices using the water taking button. The water taking button includes a body part(220) and an operating arm(226). The operating arm includes a rotary shaft(229). The operating arm rotates the body part. The rotary shaft is spaced apart from the body part. The operating arm includes a supporting part(227) and an expanding part(228). The supporting part is protruded from the body part. The expanding part is expanded to the expanding direction of the body part from the supporting part. A micro switch(240) is further included in the apparatus.
