<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device elongating a service life of a bearing, by enhancing sealing performance and durability of a seal. <P>SOLUTION: The seal 9 includes: an annular seal plate 15 constituted of a core metal 17 fitted in an edge part of an outward member 10, and a seal member 18 joined integrally with the core metal 17 by cure adhesion and having a plurality of seal lips 18a-18c; and a slinger 16 arranged to be opposed to the seal plate 15 and formed to have an approximately L-shaped cross-section constituted of a cylindrical part 16a fitted on an inner ring 3 and a vertical plate part 16b extended radially outward from the cylindrical part 16a. An infinite number of approximately circular fine recess parts are formed to an inner surface of the slinger 16 with which the seal lip is in slide-contact, by shot blasting treatment with approximately spherical shots.
