<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of suppressing degradation of the spring property of a terminal without increasing the number of components. <P>SOLUTION: A connector comprises a housing with a connection hole to which a plug can be inserted and a terminal held by the housing. The terminal has a substantially U-shaped spring portion 210a, a contact portion 220a that can be in contact with a plug terminal and also can be in contact with a body of a plug at a height lower than the terminal, and a bent portion 230a provided between a first end 211a of the spring portion and the contact portion. The bent portion is bent toward the side of a second end 212a and inclined upward to a direction where the contact portion is apart from the second end and to a back side of the connection hole.
