<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding and electromagnetic interference (EMI) cage for an intermediate substrate type module that has sufficient shielding against EMI. <P>SOLUTION: The cage 10 has a substantially flat and rectangular metal frame with holding clip parts 28 and EMI shielding contact fingers 34, and the frame has surface mounting leg parts 26 to surface-mount the case 10 on a circuit board 12. An array connector is mounted on the circuit board 12 in a center region of the cage 10. An electronic module 14 can be coupled to the array connector, and also inserted into or thrust in the cage 10. When the module 14 is inserted into the cage 10, the module 14 elastically warps back the EMI shielding contact fingers 34. Substantially simultaneously with the coupling of a connector of the electronic module 14 to the array connector, the holding clip parts 28 are coupled to parts of a housing so as to hold the module 14 at the position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
