<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-diameter flexible tube part of an endoscope, and the endoscope having the flexible tube part that can maintain a flexible variation width even under long-time or repeated use without flexible tube part characteristics depending on an outer skin. <P>SOLUTION: The flexible tube part 25 of the endoscope 12 includes a helical tube 51, a mesh tube 53 covering the helical tube 51 and formed by weaving an element wire bundle 533 having a plurality of element wire 531 bundles; and the outer skin 55 covering the mesh tube 53. The flexible tube part 25 has a regulating part 61 regulating the movement of the element wires of the mesh tube 53, and the ratio of the surface area of the regulating part 61 to the surface area of the mesh tube 53 differs in an axial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
