The disclosed photoelectric conversion element is provided with (a-1) a first electrode (21) and a second electrode (22) separated from one another, and (a-2) a photoelectric conversion material layer (30) provided between the first electrode (21) and the second electrode (22), wherein the photoelectric conversion material layer (30) comprises a dioxaanthanthrene-based compound represented by the structural formula below(1).
