The safety belt has multiple position belts (6) vertically, horizontally or diagonally attached around a vertically adjustable headrest (8) of a passenger seat of a vehicle. The position belt extends through a hard passage (5) for a retaining belt (3) that is directed to an automatic seat belt retractor (7) and held in a position at the headrest. An additional padding (9) is provided at a front of the headrest, and covers the passage to protect a head of a person before striking against the passage during a rear collision.
