<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric kettle suppressing the enlargement of a cover body and easily confirming the opening and closing state of a pouring channel. <P>SOLUTION: The electric kettle includes: a cylindrical body; a bottom body for covering a lower opening of the body; an internal container housed inside the body; the cover body detachably mounted so as to cover an upper opening of the body and provided with the pouring channel communicating an inside of the internal container and a pouring opening; an valve body capable of opening/closing the pouring channel; an opening/closing lever capable of moving the valve body to a closing position for covering the pouring channel and to opening position for releasing the pouring channel; and a valve biasing tool for biasing a part of the valve body to abut the opening/closing lever. The opening/closing lever is configured to be movable to the direction of the moving direction of the valve body and provided with an inclined surface inclining to the moving direction of the valve body and the moving direction of the opening/closing lever, and configured such that the part of the valve body moves to a covering position or releasing position by synchronizing the movement of the opening/closing lever and sliding along the inclined surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
