<p>Method for analyzing a gemstone, typically for locating an inclusion in a gemstone, comprising: selecting a solid material which is transparent in at least a segment of the visible spectrum or a segment of the infrared spectrum; melting or plasticizing said solid material and immersing the gemstone in said melted or plasticized material such that the gemstone is at least partly covered therein; allowing said melted or plasticized material to become solid such that a solid transparent block is obtained containing the gemstone; analyzing the gemstone through a surface of the transparent solid block using light rays in the visible spectrum or in the infrared spectrum.</p> |
