PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a luminous flux higher than that of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp and a life comparable to that of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp when the input power per lamp is increased.
SOLUTION: In a hot cathode fluorescent lamp 100 comprising a glass bulb 101, mercury and a rare gas enclosed in the glass bulb 101, and a pair of electrodes 102 and 103 arranged in the glass bulb 101, average atomic weight of the gas is in the range of 20-32, gas pressure in the glass bulb 101 is in the range of 300-700 Pa, and the electrodes 102 and 103 consist of coils. If the ratio of resistances when the coil is not energized and when the coil is not discharged but energized is 1:4.75, the value of a current when the coil is not discharged but energized is in the range of 0.5-1.5 A.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
