<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a bank layout of an underground line rapidly and easily. <P>SOLUTION: An underground line determination device 1 obtains lengths of each section of a main line cable, a maximum current of a lead-in power phase and a maximum current of a lead-in electric light phase at a client's residence, a length of a lead-in cable to construct anew, and a line type of the lead-in cable selected for the new construction. Next, based on the obtained information, the device calculates a main line current, a lead-in shared phase current, a lead-in allowable current, a main line voltage drop, a lead-in voltage drop, a transformer utilization rate, and others. Then, the device determines whether the lead-in shared phase current is lower than the lead-in allowable current, the lead-in voltage drop is lower than the upper limit value, and a planned short circuit current is higher than an allowable short circuit current, and displays ○ or × based on the determination results. When it is ×, the device selects a line type of one stage higher (thicker) than the obtained lead-in cable line type, and recalculates using the line type. On the other hand, the device determines whether the main line voltage drop is lower than the upper limit value, the main line current is lower than the upper limit value, and the transformer utilization rate is lower than 100%, and displays ○ or × based on the determination results.
