PURPOSE: A camera module and a method for controlling exposure are provided to control shutter speed of the camera module in order to make the brightness of a specific area same with a reference brightness. CONSTITUTION: A photographing unit(10) takes a photograph of image by controlling shutter speed according to an input control signal. A display unit(30) displays an image. If a specific area is selected among a plurality of divided areas, a control unit(20) outputs a first shutter speed control signal to the photographing unit. The first shutter speed control signal makes the brightness of the specific area into a set reference brightness.
