PURPOSE: A composition containing Broussonetia kazinoki Sieb extract is provided to enhance MITF expression in melanocytes and to promote melanogenesis. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing leukotrichia contains 0.001-50 wt% of Broussonetia kazinoki Sieb extract as an active ingredient. A composition for treating vitiligo contains 0.001-50 wt% of the extract as an active ingredient. A method for preparing the extract comprises: a step of naturally or forcibly drying Broussonetia kazinoki Sieb and slicing; a step of leaching with polar solvent, non-polar solvent, and mixture solvent thereof or vegetable oil. |
