PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a doctor blade polishing device and doctor blade polishing method, which restrains the occurrence of defective quality of print due to abrasion powder caused by polishing, polishes the front tip of the doctor blade with good accuracy, and makes the polishing state uniform in the width direction of the doctor blade. SOLUTION: This doctor blade polishing device is provided with a rotatable cylindrical polishing part 20 for polishing the tip of the doctor blade 2. The position of the doctor blade 2 to the surface of the polishing part 20 is adjusted by a position adjusting part, and the pressing force of the doctor blade 2 to the surface of the polishing part 20 is adjusted by a pressing force adjusting part.
