PURPOSE: An upper platen for a punching machine having an electromagnet is provided to prevent a gripper gripping a paper from colliding with the buffer material of a wooden form. CONSTITUTION: An upper platen(100) for a punching machine having an electromagnet comprises a hexagonal steel body(110), attaching and detaching units(120), and electromagnets. The attaching and detaching units are installed on the left and right surfaces(116,117) of the steel body. The attaching and detaching units attach a flat plate on the bottom surface of the upper platen. The steel body comprises ribs(115) and grooves. The electromagnets are formed in the grooves of the steel body.
