<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float type steam trap capable of cleaning easily and surely a foreign matter deposited on an inner face of a valve hole and maintaining a steam tap function of discharging condensed water and not leaking out steam if a float becomes incapable of opening the valve hole. <P>SOLUTION: An inlet 4, a valve chamber 3, and an outlet 5 are formed by a body 1 and a lid 2. A valve seat member 7 is provided having the valve hole 10 for communicating a lower part of the valve chamber 3 with an outlet 5 side. The float 12 for opening and closing the valve hole 10 is arranged inside the valve chamber 3. The valve seat member 7, which is formed into a spherical shape and in which the valve hole 10 is formed into a T-shape and one end 10c of a longer passage of the T-shaped valve hole 10 is formed in an orifice passage, is arranged to be rotation-operable in the body 1.
