<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate device for a throw-in type medal slot, which effectively and easily prevents overflow in a medal selector even when a large amount of medals are input at a time in a medal throw-in type medal game machine. <P>SOLUTION: A medal passage 52 is arranged in a path to introduce a large amount of medals collectively loaded, to the medal selector 30 in a case body 10. The medal passage 52 includes a medal discharge port for forming a path which does not pass the medal selector 30. A shutter is arranged, which opens/closes the medal discharge port and is opened when a power source is turned off. When the power source is turned on and the medal is input, the shutter is opened in order to prevent too many medals from staying in the medal selector 30. Subsequently, the input medal is returned from the medal discharge port to a reception tray from a medal dispensing port arranged on the front surface of a front door 20 by way of a medal discharge passage 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
