<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet discharge roller including a structure that does not deteriorate assembly efficiency while maintaining sufficient rigidity increasing function to the discharge sheet, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Each of the rigidity increasing portions 92A, 92B include a plurality of plate members 921, 922 axially spaced from each other by a predetermined distance, and the plurality of plate members 921, 922 have forms each obtained by circumferentially dividing a circular plate, respectively, and are arranged in positions circumferentially shifted from each other by 180 degrees, respectively.
