PURPOSE: A midsole and footwear equipped with the same are provided to reduce production cost and maintenance cost and to improve solidity. CONSTITUTION: A midsole includes a metapodium control block(24) which is integrally formed on end thereof. The metapodium control block is formed in the traverse direction against the progressive direction of the footwear. The metapodium control block is formed in a longitudinal section shape. A shank is inserted into the upper side of the metapodium control block.
