<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fence-like device which contributes to preventing passengers standing by on a platform from falling to the foot of a platform, preventing animals or the like from intruding into a field, or preventing people from intruding into a parking lot. <P>SOLUTION: The upper portion of a predetermined lifting body 10 constituted of a plurality of cylinders or the like is fixed to a beam 401. In this state, the beam 401 is fixed to posts 501 by means of brackets 502 or the like.
