<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the quality of a formed image and shorten a correction time in the case of correcting local density shifts which occur when correcting the misalignment of the image in forming the image. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU of an image forming device performs, as color shift correction processing, processing of forming a pattern for correcting color shifts (S41), detecting the pattern for correcting the color shifts (S42), computing the amount of the color shifts and the amount of color shift correction based on the detection result (S43, S44), computing the amount of skews for each color based on reference colors and skew correction information for correcting the skews (S45, S46), and storing various information including the amount of the skews and the skew correction information on a RAM (S47). In addition, when it is determined there is no skew correction (S50), the CPU forms a pattern for correcting density shifts, computes the amount of density shift correction for each of the colors based on the detection result of the pattern for correcting the density shifts, and stores density shift correction information including the amount of the density shift correction for each of the colors on the RAM (S51-S55). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
