<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original illuminating device using an LED light source that improves color unevenness of an illuminating light at ends of an original surface along a main scanning direction without increasing size of the original illuminating device, at low cost, and with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: An original illuminating device has: an illumination-target surface 4 that serves as an original reading position; and illuminating means that has a plurality of LED chips 1 arranged along a main scanning direction and illuminates a surface of an original. The illuminating means shines light on the illumination-target surface 4. Among the plurality of LED chips 1 in the illuminating means, some are arranged at ends of the illumination-target surface 4 along the main scanning direction so that light to be shone on the illumination-target surface 4 by the LED chips 1 is tilted in such a direction as to include many excitation components from a fluorescent member in each of the LED chips 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
