PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device comprising liquid crystal alignment material is provided to have excellent liquid crystal orientation-regulating force and display quality. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal alignment material is in the following structure formula 1'and 2'. In the formula 1' and 2', R1 is hydrogen, fluorine, C1-20 alkyl group, C1-20 fluoroalkyl group, or monovalent having steroid structure. R2 is cyclo hexylene or phenylene group. X includes radiation-sensitive polymer having one or more structures selected from the group consisting of single bond, an oxygen atom, an sulfur atom, methylene group C2-3 alkylene group, -CH=CH-, -NH-, *-COO- or *-OCO-(a dangling bond with * connects with R2). R3 is phenylene group, cyclo hexylene, methylene group, -NH- or following formula R3-1 or R3-2. In the formula R3-1 and R3-2, X1 is +COO-, +-OCO-(a dangling bond with「+」connects with a phenylene group) or oxygen, d is 0 or 1, in case of d=0, e is integer of 0-12, and in case of d=1 e is integer of 1-12, a is integer of 0-3, b is or 1, c is integer of 0-3(in case of a is 2 or 3, a plurality of R2 and X is same or different). |
