<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure stable measurement operation while saving power consumption by maximizing waiting time in a power save mode of a control unit in a small information device. <P>SOLUTION: A measurement device, which irradiates measurement light by intermittently driving an LED 6a and receives the light with a photodetector to intermittently carry out measurement, comprises a CPU 41 that controls itself to enter a sleep mode while maintaining the LED being driven during a period from starting up of the LED 6a to achieving stabilized driving of the LED 6a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
