<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly maintain a small gap between a tip of a separation pawl and a fixing member. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device has a fixing belt 12, a pressure roller 13 forming a fixing nip part N by being in contact with the fixing belt 12, and a separation means 30 for separating a sheet of paper discharged from the fixing nip part N from the fixing belt 12. The separation means 30 has a separation pawl 16a and a positioning means 31 to 35 for positioning the tip of the separation pawl. Neither the separation pawl 16a nor the positioning means 31 to 35 are in contact with the fixing belt 12, and the positioning means 31 to 35 perform positioning of the tip of the separation pawl 16a based on the temperature of the fixing belt 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
