<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detector and an automatic analyzer with the same which have a feature of protecting a light receiving element from excessive light when a measurement container is mounted on the detector or when removed from the detector. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the detector which includes a light-shielding housing provided with a first opening for mounting and removing the measurement container containing liquid, and a second opening for detecting light from the liquid, detection means for detecting light from the second opening, measurement container transport means for transporting the measurement container containing the liquid from the first opening to the second opening or from the second opening to the first opening, first light shielding means for shielding the first opening from light, and second light shielding means for shielding the second opening or detection means, and shields the second opening or detection means by the second light shielding means when not shielding the first opening by the first light shielding means; and the automatic analyzer with the detector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
