<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field instrument system capable of confirming validity of software to be downloaded, so as to prevent incorrect software update to a field instrument and abnormal operation of the field instrument caused by incorrect software. <P>SOLUTION: A field instrument system for which software installed in a field instrument is updated by download includes a control apparatus for transmitting a stored key code and a download file in which a first password generated from the key code is embedded. The field instrument generates a second password by using the key code received from the control apparatus, compares the first password embedded in the download file received from the control apparatus with the second password, and if both passwords match, updates a stored software by using the download file. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
