<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide structures of a connector, a receptacle connector and a plug connector. <P>SOLUTION: A connector achieves fitting by inserting a plug connector from above a receptacle connector. The plug connector has a plug housing and fitting portions protruding outward from both sidewalls of the plug housing. The receptacle connector has a receptacle housing, fixation portions exposed from below both sidewalls of the receptacle housing, and metal fittings upper parts of which protrude into the receptacle housing and which have bar-like beam portions, extending to a predetermined length along the sidewalls, at positions of predetermined height from a floor surface of the receptacle housing.
