<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint cover device for walls capable of attaining excellent aesthetics and suppressing the swing in the anteroposterior direction of a center cover plate by disposing the center cover plate and left and right end cover plates such that a front surface becomes roughly flat in an ordinary state without an earthquake. <P>SOLUTION: Two or more pairs of support rods 10, 10 are respectively pivoted at one end of each to left and right fixed frames 2, 2 fixed to left and right buildings A, B adjacent through a joint s. The other ends of the support rods 10, 10 are slidably fitted and inserted to slide paths 6, 6 in the horizontal direction of a plurality of slide base bodies 5 respectively to hold the respective slide base bodies 5. A center cover plate 20 is supported at the front end of support shafts 18 in the anteroposterior direction inserted to the respective slide base bodies 5.
