<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the enlargement of an adjustable range of a head position and the alignment with a small number of parts. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus is provided with: a cam body 111 for adjusting a relative pressure contact position between each heating element and a platen roller when a thermal head is brought into pressure contact with the platen roller through recording paper; a camshaft bearing 115 installed in the cam body 111 and for rotating the cam body 111; and a rotation support shaft for supporting the camshaft bearing 115 rotatably.
