<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an olefin oxide by reacting an olefin with oxygen substantially without using hydrogen. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the olefin oxide includes a step of reacting the olefin with oxygen in the presence of a catalyst containing silver, titanium and at least one metal element (excluding silver) selected from the group consisting of group 5-15 elements in the fourth period and group 5-15 elements in the fifth period in the periodic table, and an organohalogen compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
