<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a length measuring device capable of properly releasing a force exerted at the time of processing by a product and securely measuring the length of the product by controlling tilt of the product at the time of processing . <P>SOLUTION: A length measuring device 1 includes measuring instrument 3 capable of measuring the length of a work-piece by coming in contact with the edge face of the work-piece that is guided by a rail 2 in a movable fashion and located along the rail 2 to detect the moving distance on the rail 2. The measuring instrument 3 holds a main rod part 51 provided with a contact block 45 that can come in contact with the edge face of the work-piece, in a movable fashion along the moving direction thereof for a predetermined distance. A spring 52 is provided for energizing the main rod part 51 to the work-piece. When measuring the length of the work-piece, the spring 52 makes the main rod part 51 move toward the work-piece and the contact block 45 provided at the edge part of the main rod part 51 is brought into contact with the edge face of the work-piece. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
