<p>Portable safety input apparatus (1) comprises: at least one input device to enter a safety signal to a robot controller (3); and an interface to communicate with a hand-held unit detachably connected with the safety input apparatus for controlling a robot (4) by connecting with the robot controller. Independent claims are also included for: (1) an input arrangement for controlling the robot comprising the safety input device and the detachably connected hand-held unit, where the robot controller exhibits a control identification device to transmit a control identification to the robot control and/or the safety input device; (2) a control system for controlling the robot comprising the robot controller, the input arrangement, a communication device (10) for wireless or wired safety communication of the robot controller with the safety input device, and/or a second communication device for wireless or wired communication of the robot control with the hand-held unit; (3) the robot controller for the control system comprising a comparison device for comparing the identification transmitted by the safety input device to the robot controller with the control identification transmitted by the hand-held unit to the robot controller; (4) controlling the robot by the control system, comprising transmitting the identification of the safety input device via a safety identification device to the robot controller, transmitting the identification of the safety input device via the safety identification device to the hand-held unit or the control identification via the control identification device to the safety input device, transmitting the control identification via the control identification device to the robot controller, and comparing the identification transmitted by the safety input device to the robot controller with the control identification transmitted by the hand-held unit to the robot controller; and (5) a computer program product comprising a program code stored on a machine readable carrier, where the program code forms at least partially the safety input apparatus, the input arrangement and the robot controller, and conducts the above method, when it is run in the control system.</p> |
