The method involves receiving a set of values of a channel transfer function with subcarrier frequencies, and converting an information vector in a forward error correction encoder (1) into a binary code vector. An integral multiple of subcarrier number of frequencies is accepted as a power of two. An estimation of the code vector is obtained. An estimation of sent information vector in a forward error correction decoder (12) is finally obtained from the code vector.
