<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical wiring board which facilitates mounting of an optical element and has improved mounting accuracy, an optical waveguide, and a method for mounting an optical element. <P>SOLUTION: The optical wiring board includes: an optical waveguide 5 formed on the rear side of a substrate 2; a mirror 7 for a light emitting element, which converts an optical path of light impinging from a surface light emitting element 6 mounted on the front side of the substrate 2 by 90° and then makes the light incident on a core 3; a mirror 9 for a light receiving element, which converts an optical path of light emitted from the surface light emitting element 6 and propagated in the core 3 by 90° toward the substrate 2 and then makes the light incident on a surface light receiving element 8 mounted on the front side of the substrate 2; and an illuminating light incidence part 10 which is formed by exposing a part of the core 3 from a side surface of the optical waveguide 5 and makes illuminating light L irradiating the side surface of the optical waveguide 5, incident on the core 3 of the optical waveguide 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
