<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to fundamentally solve the following problem: the costs of a polymer organic EL element and an organic inorganic hybrid LED on which cost reduction can be expected is increased, and the cost of a low molecular organic EL element is further increased to mitigate boundary face deterioration. <P>SOLUTION: In an organic thin film electroluminescent element 1, a self-organized monomolecular film 8 having a functional group which functions as an energy barrier for a main carrier, and does not function as an energy barrier for an opposite carrier, and in which a radical by the opposite carrier is stable is disposed on a boundary face, and thereby, the boundary face acting as one of deterioration factors is solidified by chemical bond while maintaining device characteristics, and deposited carriers causing deterioration are stably held for a long period of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
