摘要 #CMT# #/CMT# The shock absorber has a piston (11) partitioning an interior of a bottomed cylinder (10) into an upper chamber (12) and a lower chamber (13). A damping force generation mechanism is installed in a passage. A free piston contact surface or a housing contact surface includes an inclined surface e.g. tapered surface part, inclined to a moving direction of a free piston. The free piston is moved to change a shortest distance between two portions that are in contact with a contraction-side O-ring within the contact surfaces, respectively. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Shock absorber i.e. mono-tube type hydraulic shock absorber, for use in a vehicle. Can also be used for a double-tube type hydraulic shock absorber and hydraulic shock absorber. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The shock absorber smoothly changes a damping force characteristic in response to a vibrating state.
