PURPOSE: A display apparatus and image control method of a display apparatus are provided to prevent eyes strain according to watching for a 3D image in a long time by controlling the 3D image in a 3D area. CONSTITUTION: A control unit displays images at the display area of a display unit(S310). In case the image does not includes a 3D object, a 3D area processing unit does not operate a liquid crystal panel(S320). In case the 3D object includes the images, the 3D area processing unit extracts area where the 3D object is displayed(S330). The control unit process the extracted area using the liquid crystal panel(S340).
