PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a dual loop for the DC/DC converter of a grid connected fuel cell electric power generating system and a controlling method thereof are provided to prevent the volume increase of a entire system and unit costs by preventing the insertion of ultra capacitors to reduce a low frequency electric current ripple. CONSTITUTION: A block for processing a voltage loop feedback gain generates a detection voltage by adding a voltage loop feedback gain. A block for processing a current loop feedback gain generates the detection current by adding a current loop feedback gain. A voltage loop compensation device calculates a reference current by comparing the value of a reference voltage and the value of the detection voltage which is generated by the block for processing the voltage loop feedback gain. The current loop compensation device calculates a control variable by comparing the detection current and the reference current.
