PURPOSE: A radial shaft seal apparatus for controlling thruster pressure is provided to minimize the shape deformation of sealing lip and extend the service life of the seal apparatus by controlling pressure applied on a seal chamber. CONSTITUTION: A radial shaft seal apparatus for controlling thruster pressure comprises a rotary shaft sleeve(2), a plurality of seals, and a space part. The seals are installed on the outer surface of the rotary shaft sleeve at regular intervals through a seal housing(3), a seal cover(4), and a bolt(5). The space part is formed between the seals. The space part is filled with the lubricant. A lantern ring(7) is installed in the space part, so the space part is formed into the seal chamber. Pressure supplying holes connected to the seal chambers(8) are formed on the seal housing. Pressure suppliers(9) are connected to the pressure supplying holes. |
