A method, in an optical network mixing usual WDM channels (U1, U2) and optically aggregated circuits (B1-B7), to allocate a total optical bandwidth with high spectral efficiency, between two adjacent nodes (N1-N13), comprising the steps of:
- defining a partition of said total optical bandwidth into fixed sub-bands (SB1-SB4), according to a fixed WDM grid,
- dedicating a given number of extreme contiguous sub-bands (SB1-SB4) to usual WDM channels,
- dedicating the remaining band wholly comprising remaining sub-bands (SB1-SB4) to optically aggregated circuits (B1-B7),
- placing at least a first set of circuits (B1) on one end of said remaining band,
- placing at least a second set of circuits on the other end of said remaining band,
- packing circuits so as to create, if possible, at least one free bandwidth space (E) in between circuits.
|
