PURPOSE: A dial gauge movement direction switching device is provided to improve the accuracy of measurement and productivity by checking the displacement of the side or circumferential surface. CONSTITUTION: A dial gauge movement direction switching device comprises a spindle(10) and a movement direction converting part(20). The movement direction converting part comprises a conveying unit(21) and a fixing unit(22). The conveying part transfers shake and squareness to the spindle. The fixing unit is combined with the conveying part using a hinge. The fixing unit clinches the spindles. The conveying part contacts to the end part of the spindle. The conveying part is composed of the other end which pressing the spindle and rotates according to the displacement of the check surface.
