PURPOSE: An apparatus for monitoring the depth of anesthesia and a method using the same are provided to offer an exact index for the depth of the anesthesia of an organism using a signal about muscular relaxation according to anesthesia. CONSTITUTION: A muscular relaxation signal receiving part(110) receives a signal about the muscular relaxation of an organism. A analysis part(140) analyzes the depth of the anesthesia of the organism based on the received signal. An output part(160) outputs the result which is analyzed in the analysis part. A stimulus supplying part(120) offers stimulus to the muscle of the organism. The stimulus supplying part consists of two electrodes for offering the electrical stimulus to the muscle of the organism.
