PURPOSE: A depth video creation apparatus and method thereof are provided to apply two different light video types in a 3D display apparatus by creating the two different light video types. CONSTITUTION: A light reception unit(140) acquires first light information and second light information from reflected light according to a first pulse and a second pulse thorough a first gate and a second gate. The light reception unit acquires third light information and fourth light information from light reflected according to a third pulse and a fourth pulse through the first gate and the second gate. A depth calculation unit(150) calculates depth through the first light information and the fourth light information.
