PURPOSE: An electric apparatus which includes an alternating current electric motor and control inverter and a method for measuring the electromotive force thereof are provided to directly detect the electromotive force of a phase of a motor without using a position sensor. CONSTITUTION: A motor(3) comprises a task spot(Ma,Mb,Mc) for measuring relative voltage with respect to potential(M) predefined on a winding part of a phase(PA,PB,PC). A measurement point divides the winding part into a first part and a second part in order to set a phase difference between electromotive force induced by the two parts. The motor comprises devices(11A,11B,11C) for measuring voltage between the measurement point and predefined potential.
