PURPOSE: A food waste treating apparatus for apartments is provided to save a cost required for transferring food waste by treating all food waste discharged from the apartments. CONSTITUTION: A food waste container(1) is prepared. A radio frequency identification(RFID) chip saves information related to each house and is arranged at the bottom side of the food waste container. A sealed body(2) includes a door. A container collecting shelf(22) is composed of a first shelf and a second shelf and is transferred inside the body by a transferring unit. An RFID reader recognizes various information of the RFID chip. A weight measuring unit measures the weight of collected food waste. A grinding part grinds the food waste. A washing part(5) washes the inside of the container. A wastewater treating part(6) discharges wastewater by compressing the ground food waste. A drying part dries the food waste. A solar light generating part converts solar light into electric energy.
