摘要 The process for cutting a piece by laser beam, comprises generating a laser beam (10) producing a Gaussian type current distribution using a fiber (2) laser source or a disk (1), modifying the beam generated by the laser source to obtain a laser beam producing current distribution of ring type with hollow core, and cutting the piece using the laser beam producing current distribution of ring type. The current distribution of the beam is modified using an optical device, which is arranged in the path of the laser beam in downstream of the laser source. The process for cutting a piece by laser beam, comprises generating a laser beam (10) producing a Gaussian type current distribution using a fiber (2) laser source or a disk (1), modifying the beam generated by the laser source to obtain a laser beam producing current distribution of ring type with hollow core, and cutting the piece using the laser beam producing current distribution of ring type. The current distribution of the beam is modified using an optical device, which is arranged in the path of the laser beam in downstream of the laser source. The laser beam generated by the laser source has a beam parameter product of = 10 mm-mrad and a characteristic diameter of 100-500 mu m, and is conveyed through a fiber focusing head (3) using a conveyor, where the optical device is arranged in downstream of the laser beam conveyor. The laser source comprises a ytterbium fiber. The current intensity distribution includes an intensity maxima located on both sides of the axis of propagation of the beam and separated from a distance of 30-80%, and has a value equal to the intensity of beam in its propagation axis multiplied by a factor of = 20. The optical device controlling the distribution of intensity is an optical fiber produced from molten silica, a step index, a graded index or a photonic crystal. The optical fiber has a core diameter of 40-160 mu m. The optical device is a diffracting optical element, and is operating with a reflective type incident angle (alpha ) of 5-50[deg] . The laser beam has a wavelength of 1.06-1.10 mu m, and a power of 1-8 kW. An independent claim is included for a laser cutting installation.
