#CMT# #/CMT# The brake (25) has a brake lever (12) arranged at a bottom bracket (2), and a freewheel (31) arranged at the bottom bracket. A driven connection (30) is provided between a pedal at the bottom bracket and the brake lever that are separable. The brake lever is arranged in flow of power direction at output of the freewheel and behind the driven connection. The brake lever is attached to wheel brakes (23, 24). A freewheel inner ring (3) is firmly connected with a bottom bracket shaft (4). A housing is swingably mounted over the bottom bracket. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Coaster brake for use as an integral brake and a parking brake (all claimed) for a bicycle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The brake lever is arranged in flow of power direction at the output of the freewheel and behind the driven connection, thus allowing the brake to push a bicycle backward without noise and engagement of the brake. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a perspective view of an observer standing at height of a rear wheel next to a bicycle. 2 : Bottom bracket 3 : Freewheel inner ring 4 : Bottom bracket shaft 12 : Brake lever 23, 24 : Wheel brakes 25 : Coaster brake 30 : Driven connection 31 : Freewheel.
|
